Provident Mom Picks: V Comb

Head lice and nits are one of the common health problems encountered at home, especially among children. My daughter Aisha once had a problem with head lice and it began when she began studying in Kindergarten. I don’t know where she got it but we all know that head lice are like a virus. We can get it because of our interaction with people who have it. It took me a year to look for a remedy for it. Don’t get me wrong, we tried different kinds of shampoos to treat the problem and we use a “suyod”- a fine-teeth comb very popular here in the Philippines to remove them from the hair. And then while I was researching online, I once saw an advertisement about this product allegedly effective in eliminating head lice and nits, V-Comb by Licetec . I watched videos and read reviews about it and I eventually was convinced to buy. I searched were to shop for it and it can be bought in online stores like Shopee. Personally, I bought mine from this store . The V Comb is electrically-opera

Why and How to Start Investing in PAG-IBIG MP2 Savings Program?

It's been a while since I wanted to invest in PAG-IBIG MP2 , a voluntary savings program with a 5-year term for all PAG-IBIG Fund members which earns dividends. You can get your dividends either annually or after the term (5-year). The higher you save, the more dividend you will get.   From the year 2016 to 2018 the average  MP2 dividend  rate in the past three years (2016-2018) is at 7.65%. It's not that bad compared to a regular savings program in banks. I finally got the chance to "enroll" myself. It is easier nowadays because you can start your application online. If you are interested, follow the instructions below on how you can also start investing PAG-IBIG's MP2. 1.  Go to pagibigfundservices.com and you will be asked to provide your PAG-IBIG MID No, Last name, First name, and Date of Birth. 2   2.  You will be directed to a new page where you can view your PAG-IBIG profile. On the right side of the screen, the first thing that you

If there is one thing that I would like to promote on this blog, that is the use of sustainable, eco-friendly products, especially for the home. This is why I'm launching Provident Mom Picks category on this blog wherein I'll suggest and post products that my family and I use to live sustainably. First product would be the Colgate Bamboo Charcoal Soft Toothbrush , which is  100%  natural, made from biodegradable bamboo, and is free from plastic packaging. Working Mom's Daily Routine During Quarantine

Hey! This is your Provident Mom, once again, and for this blog, I am going to share my daily routine as a working mom during this time of quarantine. FYI, I am a teacher   by profession and ever since the community quarantine in our city was declared 2 weeks ago, I've been staying at home. But if you think that I'm lucky to be able to stay at home and do nothing, you gotta be thinking twice because before the declaration, I was able to go to the school and brought home with me some paperwork that I can do remotely at home. So, for the past 2 weeks, I spent some hours finishing and completing some of the documents and requirements that are needed from us.  Another thing is that I am hyperactive. I cannot go through a day without doing anything. I am used to being productive all the time. I easily get bored. Being at home 24/7 is something that is very rare to me, so I'm adjusting. So, to make sure that I don't get bored, I made a daily schedule that would keep me busy

I found the best cleaner for the bathroom. And it is...

As a homemaker, I am getting so obsessed with cleaning materials lately especially with the ongoing threat of the newly discovered coronavirus. This post is all about my bathroom tiles. Ever since we bought the house in 2011, the tiles were already yellowish and that's probably because the bathroom is where the carpenters get water.  We've had some renovations over the years so it got dirtier. We really did not mind that much because we were not living here. It was only last year that we moved in and it has been my problem ever since. I've tried so many cleaning products but it gave me disappointing results.  This was how our bathroom tiles looked like before Then, somebody introduced me to this amazing product of Personal Collection, the TUFF Toilet Bowl Cleaner . I tested it at home and I just tried to use it on the tiles as well. Lo and behold, it worked amazingly! Watch this video of the amazing transformation: I did not put so much effort into

I was scammed!

I am not really an avid fan of online shopping but there were times I bought stuff online just because they were so cheap as compared to ones that were sold in the malls. I am also very meticulous in buying things online. I would compare prices, read comments and reviews, and even check the background or reliability of the sellers and the products. So, I never really thought I’d be a victim of my own doing. Just recently, I came across a Facebook ad that was so deceiving that I ended up buying the item only to regret it later on. Instaclean Facebook ad So, there was this Facebook ad from Instaclean that just popped out in my newsfeed out of nowhere. It was an ad for a cleaning product, a foam cleaner that would supposedly instantly remove dirt and make things new simply by spraying and a little scrubbing. I was actually looking for a product like that for my car chairs and living room sofas, so the product really enticed me. Just like many people, I viewed the video and I f
